Botanical Laws and Regulations in the U.S.

 

One of the most common myths 

about the botanical medicine industry and 

the supplement industry in 

general is that there are no regulations. 

I hear this all the time from patients, 

family members, my medical colleagues. 

I think there's a big misunderstanding 

that botanicals have absolutely zero regulations. 

Now it gets a lot more complicated 

because while the botanical industry and 

the supplement industry in general are not regulated 

nearly as stringently as the pharmaceutical industry,
